9/22/2023 0 Comments Download acronis true image 2014Once I clicked the back up button, True Image 2014 performed the backup of my hard drive and then stored the image file to my external drive. All I had to do was change the destination to my external hard drive – selected as the I drive – and then click the “Back up now” button at the bottom of the window. When I selected the “Back up system” option from the “Get Started” window, I was immediately presented with a second window that displayed the options for backing up my system.Īs you can see from the screenshot above, the System and the C drive options were automatically selected for the source backup. How easy did I find backup my entire system? Pretty much it involved clicking a button, selecting a destination and then clicking a second button. Clicking on one of the options produces another window that provides the necessary options to perform the action. When the application is first launched, the “Get started” tab is displayed with thre options: “Back up system”, “Recover data”, and “Back up to Cloud”. With True Image 2014, the user interface is geared towards those that don’t want to manage complex backup tasks. Backing up and restoring data, let alone a system, can be a complex task, and one that most people probably won’t want to do. After using the software for some time, it immediately became clear the True Image has undergone many changes since the version I used a few years ago.Īfter installing the software without any problems, I immediately launched the application. Remembering my experience of using their product in the past, I immediately jumped at the opportunity to have a look at what their software could do. The entire process went off without a hitch and the new 500GB hard drive was installed and my wife couldn’t tell the difference – except she could now fill up the hard drive with more data.Ī few weeks ago I was asked by Acronis to review their new version of the True Image software aptly named Acronis True Image 2014. After performing searches online regarding the cloning process I decided on a piece of software called Acronis True Image. In order to ensure that her laptop was the same after the installation of the new hard drive, I decided to clone the information from the original 160GB hard drive onto the new 500GB hard drive. I eventually went and bought a 500GB hard drive, but my wife didn’t want anything to change after I installed the new hard drive – she is not a fan of technology changes. All over the download links it says migration utility - so I don''t know why it says full version in the snippit above from adatas site - you cant even use the software without entering the 16 digit key and waiting for the longer one in the email.A few years ago I had an issue with my wife’s laptop – it ran out of disk space on the installed 160GB hard drive. Note: it does not give you the full version of the software (at the least not the drive i purchased) - at the bottom of acronis it says it is a limited use software - click here to buy full version. This file will allow you to install Acronis, later you will enter the 16 Digit key to get the full version of the software. When installing please use file ‘atih_installer_shell_hd_standard’(NOT “AcronisTrueImageOEM). Could you have not used either the correct download link (adata also had an option for 2012) or ran the wrong installer in the download file?įrom the adata site (i know yours is a different manufacturer) exe - then i entered the code (I think it was 16 digits) and then it sent me a much longer code in an email. I signed up for adatas site, used their download link - it said not to run the installer, but a different. I just got acronis TIH 2013 (its a limited feature set - i think just cloning enabled) with the purchase of an adata ssd. I'm still having this problem Anybody know what might be causing it? I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit SP1 with all the latest updates. Even though there is a folder full of them.ĭoes anybody have any idea what is causing me this problem? I have tried rebooting multiple times, I have tried re-installing the program multiple times, I even found this page the Acronis website and downloaded it again from there but still get the same error when I try to launch the program!Īll the files seem to be in the installation directory, At lest it looks that way anyway:Īlso, When I try to run the Uninstall.exe file in the program folder I just get this error 'No True Image components found'. I went to the page on the SCAN website like the card says and downloaded the program installer from the OneDrive link, Unzipped it and ran the setup.īut then when I went to load up the program it just gives me this error: So I got a SSD from SCAN for a friend and it came with free a code for Acronis True Image 2014 that he didn't need so I can have it (yay, Free stuff!)
